What is your idea of perfect happiness?
A combination of being with great friends, swimming, music, thinking, and solitude.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Any strange, OCD games I play. Caring too much about my education.
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Cruelty, meanness, lack of loyalty, rudeness, arrogance, and a lack of respect for others.
What is your greatest extravagance?
The OCD games I play. They can get rather excessive at some times. Other than that, probably social networking sites.
What is your favorite journey?
Literally, any long car ride with friends. Abstractly, learning something new.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
My dog. RIP.
When and where were you happiest?
Hanging out with friends.
Which talent would you most like to have?
Time travel and any-aging.
What is your current state of mind?
Calm and relaxed.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would not be Bipolar I, I would have the ingenuity to make more money to pay for college, learning to drive, and a car, and I would be a far better musician.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My graduation speech inspired somebody who was in prison at the time to turn his life around. I wouldn’t consider that my greatest achievement, but it is, I don’t know… I do consider it nice. I do not consider anything my greatest achievement.
If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
When I was little I would think through this quite a bit, and various animals always come up - it seems to me that cricket was very high on the list for some reason - but now I would probably say… Well, I’m not sure what I would say.
What is your favorite occupation?
Dancing and swimming and singing.
Who are your favorite authors?
Sidney Poitier, Jonathan Kozol, and Leo Tolstoy
Who are your heroes in real life?
My dance teacher, my voice teacher, my freshman Global Perspectives teacher, and my sophomore and junior year math teacher.
What is it that you most dislike?
Small talk. Events where the house lights are not down. Being in massive, disorganized crowds.
What is your motto?
I don’t have one specifically. I might say “Why not?” It’s from the Hilary Duff song, which in turn is from the Hilary Duff movie “The Lizzie McGuire Movie”, in which Lizzie travels to Italy, gets swept off her feet by some Italian pop star named Paolo or Pablo who turns out to be a jerk, because, hey, why not? And then… Well, I don’t remember exactly what happens in the end. I think she ends up with Gordo.
I think it is somewhat misleading because, while I do take chances, I am not often reckless. I tend to be a cautious person.
